Welcome to the Dudley Community Partnership website! The Dudley Community Partnership (DCP) brings together many partner organisations including health, the police and the council, with businesses and the voluntary and community sector. One of our main aims is for all our partners to work effectively together to improve the quality of life for everyone in the Borough. We will do this by delivering our Community Strategy.
Jobs for 2011 Census Census day is on 27 March 2011, and in the 10 years since the last census, people have come and gone, families have grown, expectations and lifestyles have shifted and so the face of local communities has changed. The census is vital in measuring these changes across the borough and UK. Census information is used by public services like Dudley Council and its partners to fund, plan and deliver local services such as healthcare, education, housing and transport. It is important people respond to the census as the number of people included affects the amount of funding given to our borough. Throughout 2010 and into 2011 the Office for National Statistics (ONS) are recruiting people to ensure the smooth running of the census. There are a variety of fixed-term full and part-time posts to work as field staff. These range from managerial positions to supervisory positions to roles working in the field that interact with the public. Contract periods range from a couple of weeks to several months. On 30 July 2010 the Government published ‘21st Century Welfare’, which outlines proposals to reform the benefit system. The Government is inviting consultation on its ideas, and views are welcome from all government departments, external stakeholders and members of the pubic to help design a system that tackles the root causes of poverty. The consultation period is 30 July to 1 October 2010. The new draft of the Cultural Strategy for the Borough is now open to consultation. The Strategy has been revised from the 2006-2009 Cultural Strategy and has been written by the Heritage, Culture and Leisure Partnership on behalf of the Dudley Community Partnership.
